Haunted Houses

The fifth graders have been building haunted houses out of cardboard. To start the project we first looked at pictures of Victorian-style houses and discussed the architectural features, which make those houses unique.

The students then worked to draw a plan of their house, drawing a view of all four sides of their house. They began building the house by starting with a six-inch square cardboard base. The next step was for the students to begin building using cardboard, toothpicks, and popsicle sticks.
