Hand Henna

The fourth graders first learned about what Henna was, where it is done, when it is done, how it is done, and why it is done. We talked about the cultural significance of Henna and looked at many examples.

They then traced their hand 4-5 times with pencil and then traced over it with a black permanent marker.

After tracing they began drawing their designs with pencil and coloring with colored pencil. They really came up with some interesting designs and uses of color.
